Jaeger-LeCoultre premieres its  seminal Hybris Artistica collection  at Masterpiece London  and is proud to support  Marie Curie Cancer Care Timeless Party.

Jaeger-LeCoultre has chosen London for the international exhibition of its Hybris Artistica collection of exceptional timepieces. The Maison has a major presence at the influential Masterpiece London art fair. Set in the spectacular South Grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, this is one the most upscale antique and art fairs of the annual Arts calendar and takes during London Art Week, 26th June – 2nd July (Preview on the 25th). Masterpiece London brings together the top UK and international dealers and the most influential buyers/patrons of the Arts.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Hybris Artistica collection includes twelve fascinating timepieces that represent an unprecedented combination of design, technical construction, watchmaking art and exquisite craftsmanship. Individually and collectively, the twelve pieces underline both the Manufacture’s leadership in Grande Complications and, thanks to its in-house workshops, its boundless creativity in Métiers Rares – the fine arts of enamelling, gemsetting, and engraving.

Jaeger-LeCoultre and Masterpiece London are also proud to announce Jaeger-LeCoultre as the official partner of the Masterpiece Patrons Programme – including some of the most influential art dealers and clients from around the world. As the reference in fine watchmaking, Jaeger- LeCoultre offers connoisseurs and collectors specially-conceived master-classes led by its most talented artists and watchmakers through Masterpiece London, with exclusive presentations of the Hybris Artistica and other extraordinary creations of the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre.

Zahra Kassim-Lakha, Director UK Market & Global Strategy, said “Connoisseurs will be fascinated to meet our master watchmakers and craftsmen as they demonstrate their art as well as their passion, approachability and excellence. Masterpiece London provides the ideal canvas to appreciate the minute scale of our watchmaking masterpieces and the extraordinary mechanical complexity to make our timepieces tick with the greatest precision.”

“We are thrilled that Jaeger-LeCoultre are supporting Masterpiece London in three significant ways; as an exhibitor unveiling their Hybris Artistica Collection to the public for the first time, as the Patrons’ Programme Partner and as sponsors of the charity night in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. They are one of the world’s leading watchmakers and their exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail in the art of watchmaking, alongside their additional support for Masterpiece London, makes them a noteworthy addition to the fair’. Nazy Vassegh, CEO of Masterpiece London.

Steeped in over 180 years of history in watchmaking, and as the largest and one of the most responsible leaders in high-end watchmaking, Jaeger-LeCoultre is also proud to announce special support for a leading UK charity, Marie Curie Cancer Care, which is the beneficiary of the Masterpiece Marie Curie Timeless Party. In 2014, Jaeger-LeCoultre is the headline partner of this Timeless Party and Private Dinner. During this event on June 30th, special guests visited all the exhibitors’ stands and also participated in a silent and live auction of specially selected works of art, collectible items and money-can’t-buy experiences to benefit Marie Curie. Key patrons of the Arts, leading opinion leaders, patrons and ambassadors of Marie Curie — were invited to then join a private party at The Royal Hospital Chelsea, hosted by Heather Kerzner, Jaeger-LeCoultre and other ambassadors of Marie Curie.

Marie Curie, founded in 1948, is the leading charity providing care to people with any terminal illness in their own homes or in one of its nine hospices. The charity is best known for its nurses who work in terminally ill patient’s homes providing care overnight.

For those who don’t have much time left, each day is a gift and Marie Curie gives families the chance to make the most of the time they have left together.

Whether it’s ensuring the patient is comfortable, to allowing families members to get some much needed rest, time is precious. Funds raised by the Masterpiece Marie Curie Party will go towards providing more free nursing care so patients can spend more quality time with their loved ones.

Zahra Kassim-Lakha continues, “Jaeger-LeCoultre recognizes Marie Curie’s proactive approach, professionalism and strong ethical commitment. We are delighted to bring significant support to Marie Curie to raise funds and awareness of their work and help people make the most of the time they have left.”
