Over 175 VIPs in business, philanthropy and entertainment gathered at Opus for the seventh installment of REVOLT TV‘s community initiative, “HELLO Harlem” – a summer series to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Harlem (BGCH).
VIPs included Andre Drummond (Center, Detroit Pistons & U.S. Men’s Basketball Team), Edith Massiah (Director of Programs, BGCH), Rooney Nelson (Founder, The Nelson Group), Marc John Jefferies (Actor, “Losing Isaiah” & “Notorious”), Hassan Heyward (Field Representative, Mayor’s Office of Media & Entertainment), Rochelle Hill (Sales & Int’l Marketing Specialist/ Media & Artist Relations, Sony Music Masterworks), Angela Barkan (VP of Media & Artist Development, Sony Music Masterworks), Larissa Slezak (Dir. of Media, Sony Music Masterworks), Somi (OKEH Records/Sony Music Masterworks recording artist) and many more.
Sponsored by AQUAhydrate, Sean John and Ciroc, and supported by Harlem Park to Park,The Nelson Group and Uptown Magazine, the evening was hosted by The Nelson Group’s VP of Account Management, Mike Houston, and featured a special dedication to the Boys & Girls Club of Harlem (BGCH) for bringing music, arts and education together within the community. Kai Wright, REVOLT TV VP of Communications, also addressed the audience to welcome them, acknowledge special guests and encouraged donation support.
Throughout the evening, DJ SunKiss kept the crowd moving while spinning on the 1s & 2s, and sultry songstress Somi wowed the crowd with her performance of “Ginger Me Slowly,” “Two Dollar Day” and her latest single, “Last Song,” all from her album Lagos Music Salon.
