Beverly Hills –Television Pioneer and Executive Producer Gary Smith, will join the Masters Interview series presented by The Caucus for Producers, Writers and Directors on Wednesday, October 24 @ 7 PM at Beverly Hills Library, Auditorium, 444 N. Rexford Dr., Beverly Hills, CA 90210.

Annually, The Caucus selects one industry legend to participate in a Masters Interview, which focuses on the person’s expertise and how they used great skills or proficiency to accomplish their goals. Chuck Fries, Event Chair, The Caucus, founded the Panel Programs, which includes Master Interview and continues to supervise these panels. This year, Gary Smith, who created many of the most distinguished specials and events in television history, including 7 Emmy Awards telecasts, 6 Tony Awards broadcasts, ABC’s Millennium Global Broadcast, and the Liberty Weekend celebration, featuring President Reagan and French President Mitterrand, has been selected as our master.

The Caucus Co-Chairs Robert Papazian and Tanya Hart are proud to announced that Smith will be interviewed by Herman Rush, Television Pioneer and executive producer.

About Gary Smith

Gary Smith created many of the most distinguished specials and events in television history, including 7 Emmy Awards telecasts, 6 Tony Awards broadcasts, ABC’s Millennium Global Broadcast, and the Liberty Weekend celebration, featuring President Reagan and French President Mitterrand. He was responsible for the production of the Democratic National Conventions spanning over a decade, the AFI 100 Greatest Movies specials, and AFI Life Achievement Awards for both Barbara Streisand and Tom Hanks. He spearheaded the I Love Lucy 50th Anniversary, the Mary Tyler Moore Show Reunion, the 100 Years Bob Hope and Humor, and productions for Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson and the Queen of England. With his partner, Dwight Hemion, their company Smith Hemion Productions, won an unprecedented 24 Emmy Awards.
