The Hollywood Museum Presents It’s Newest Exhibit“The Legends of Laughter: The Marx Brothers”Open To The Public July 18, 2025

Hostess, Donelle Dadigan (Founder/President of The HollywoodMuseum), introduced an impressive list of key speakers. These included Marx Brothers family members. Bill Marx is the son of Harpo Marx. Jade Marx is the granddaughter of Groucho Marx. Greg Marx is the grandson of Gummo Marx. Steve Stoliar is the Assistant to Groucho Marx. He also authored the best-selling book “Raised Eyebrows.” Frank Ferrante is a friend and historian of The Marx Brothers Family. Then, there is Robert S. Bader who is a Marx Brothers Historian. He also authored four best-selling Marx Brothers books. She mentioned Jackie Joseph (Doris Day Show/You Bet Your Life). She also noted special messages from Leonard Maltin (Film Historian). Dick Cavett is a Talk Show Host and Journalist who also sent a message.

Celebrity guests on hand to pay homage to the legendary pioneers included, Sam Harris (Singer/Songwriter, star of stage and screen). Danny Arroyo (Wild West Chronicles). This unique showing will be one-of-a-kind. It has never been mounted before. It will feature original and screen used costumes, props, and never before seen personal family photographs. It will also include brightly colored film posters and original memorabilia from The Marx Brothers films. This includes Chico’s screen used iconic hat and Harpo’s screen used iconic horn, wig, harmonica, trench coat, and travel trunk. These are from their films, TV, and live performances. The exhibition will also show other costumes and outfits worn by the brothers. Additionally on display will be a collection of paintings created by Harpo, the artist in his retirement.
Props from Groucho Marx’s show “You Bet Your Life” will also be featured. Furnishings from his home, and books from his personal library will be included. Signed scripts from the Marx Brothers will be showcased. Many other highlights from their more than half a century career in Film, Radio, and Television will also be included.
