This is breast cancer awareness month and host Joy Parris sat down with one of LA’s most innovative plastic surgeons, former head of Cedars Sinai Plastic Surgery Division, Dr. Joel Aronowitz to discuss some new breast reconstruction procedures for women going through this devastating disease.
Dr. Aronowitz is well known for his clinical trial with actress Suzanne Somers in 2011, performing a very successful stem cell breast reconstruction on the actress after lumpectomy and radiation left her breasts disfigured. He is a doctor inspired to help as many women as possible. It is comforting to know that there are doctors like him around that can offer women alternative solutions to an already traumatic experience.
