The ensemble casts also stars Jennifer Love Hewitt, Tom Arnold, Jon Lovitz, Christine Lakin, Rita Wilson, Nicollette Sheridan, Phil Rosenthal, Ivan Sergei, etc. The film is inspired by one of the longest running and most successful off-Broadway plays with the same name from Fogel himself. The film is about two childhood friends from very different families reuniting as adults when one asks the other to help him pretend to be Jewish so he can woo a beautiful woman. Cultures collide in this outrageous all-star comedy from the creators of the original hit international play seen by millions.
With the success of the stage play—it also evolved into a multi-media national companion show called Jewtopia: Live! coinciding with a US and Canada tour and later became a coffee table book entitled, “Jewtopia: The Chosen Book for the Chosen People” published in early 2007 by Warner books.
