The fight for freedom is never easy as we see in “The Square,” produced by award winning Egyptian American producer Karim Ameer and directed by Jehane Noujaim. This film resonates with any cultural group that wants justice and a better life. As I watched the characters and felt their journey I really came to appreciate the resilience of the human spirit. Intense, emotional and very personal are just a few words to describe the feelings stirred by this film. Watching people claim their rights pushing through obstacles: from an army dictatorship willing to take the life of the protesters, to a corrupt Muslim Brotherhood using immoral practices to garner votes. No one can walk away from this film untouched, Rich Girl gives this film a super star salute.
