Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti Welcomes Guests At Opening Night Of Style Fashion Week at L.A. LIVE
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti took to the Runway on the Opening Day of Style Fashion Week to proclaim Style Fashion Week the Official Fashion Week of Los Angeles and welcome this season’s guests and talented designers. Garcetti has a personal connection to the fashion industry in Los Angeles and spoke about the impact his grandfather’s work in the garment business had on his life. During the opening ceremony, he and Style Fashion Week President, Veronica Kerzner expressed their excitement to support the culture of Los Angeles and grow the city into a recognized fashion capital.
Style Fashion Week’s opening day was presented by TIMEZONE and Millennium International Travel Benefiting the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. Ina Soltani presented her Fall ’14 Collection and Tatyana Khomyakova closed the night with a collection featuring both Bettie Page and Tatyana Designs. Celebrity guests including: Andrew Keegan, Joyce Giraud, and Ms. California enjoyed specialty cocktails provided by Style Fashion Week’s Bar and Nightlife Partner, Boulevard Nightlife Group. Sunday’s silent auction was presented by Bang the Gavel with proceeds going to support the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.
