Thinkfactory Media Launches New Incubator Division

0

Offering a hothouse for new projects as well as nascent companies, Thinkfactory Media has announced the launch of Incufactory, a new branch overseen by Executive Vice President, Adam Reed.

The division will offer pod deals to select established and developing executive producers/showrunners, seeking to provide a higher level of resources and more beneficial partnerships.

Key to the mission of Incufactory is the parent company’s imminent move into a new, 35,000-sq. ft. space, where the ability to provide offices and infrastructure, whether on a short or longer-term basis, will mirror studio housekeeping deals in catalyzing collaboration.  Reed and his team will work closely with each pod, harnessing the full resources of Thinkfactory Media including creative, development, production and legal/business affairs.  Through Incufactory, Reed foresees faster evolution for new projects, from development through sales, compared to many shows which often take years to debut.

While extending the internal resources and network relationships of Thinkfactory Media to producing partners who aspire to a similar level, the division will provide better structured deals and shared credit, offering partners a giant step beyond the standard executive producer title.  The goal is, ultimately, to create opportunities that help individual EPs and show creators/runners to incubate not only television projects, but their own companies.

“We are extremely excited to be looking for and partnering with, new and up-and-coming talent for the opportunity to help them grow into thriving content creators.  Opening this branch of the company will allow focused synergy between the entire team at Thinkfactory and the Incufactory pods, which we anticipate will result in increased series reaching the air,” stated Reed.

The first Incufactory pod deal was recently finalized with Phil Thornton and Paul Coy Allen of Ten2One Entertainment.  Having already collaborated for more than three years, Ten2One Entertainment and Thinkfactory Media co-created the hit R&B Divas franchise, which has become the most watched reality series for TV One.  Ten2One currently has four other series in active development with Thinkfactory, and the new pod deal will further enhance the partners’ relationship.

“Over the years we’ve identified with Adam Reed and Leslie Greif’s ability to develop, and produce quality entertainment across the board. This new venture will provide great opportunities for both sides. We’re looking forward to what the future brings through this partnership,” stated Thornton and Allen.

Continued Reed, “I can think of no two better individuals to kick off Incufactory with than Phil Thornton and Paul Coy Allen.  Their tremendous creativity, drive and passion has proven successful for us all in the past few years, and we are now excited to propel that to the next stratosphere.”
