IndieCrowdFunder.com, the equity & reward-based crowdfunding platform for entertainment professionals announces Schuyler M. Moore, a partner in the corporate entertainment department of Strook @Strook@ Lavan LLP Law Firm, has joined its advisory board. Moore has been recognized as one of the “power lawyers” by Hollywood Reporter and consistently listed as one of the top 25 entertainment lawyers by Variety Magazine. He has been monumental in the entertainment industry; representing Reliance on its funding of DreamWorks in an $850 million transaction, Hyde Park Entertainment on its $100 million financing transaction with ImageNation, and Summit Entertainment on a $500 million dollar financing transaction. He is also a recognized contributor for Forbes, Huffington Post, and Hollywood Reporter.

“We’re very excited to have Mr. Moore’s expertise added to our team,” says Gregory Parker, IndieCrowdFunder’s Co-founder and CEO. “His leadership, network, and industry reach will contribute significantly to IndieCrowdFunder, our future corporate growth, and the equity crowdfunding marketplace for film and, TV as a whole.”

“I’m very pleased to join the IndieCrowdFunder’s advisory board.” said Moore, “This is the future of crowdfunding, since it combines donation crowdfunding with the ability to broker equity crowdfunding for films in a professional, seamless manner.”

IndieCrowdFunder’s crowdfunding ecosystem, whose first projects include films starring Bill Engvall (Blue Collar TV, The Bill Engvall Show) and one directed by Jon Gries (Taken, Napoleon Dynamite, Men in Black), took more than a year to build. They engaged government analysts to review current securities laws and proposed SEC rules to ensure compliance and viability. Simultaneously they involved technology professionals to design and build the platform to not only handle reward-based and the current equity Regulation D 504, 506(b), 506(c) and Regulations A financing models, but also quickly allow for the new JOBS ACT Title III and Regulation A Tier II rules when approved.

“Imagine the power of a “fan base” that can actually invest in the content they truly want to see, and our technology will turn those fans into walking, talking marketing machines.” says Christopher Parker, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer. “We truly believe this will allow Hollywood level content to be created that would have never seen the light of day in the current studio system.
