Recap: On Saturday, May 16th, Jazz Hands For Autism, a nonprofit organization that provides a performance platform for musically inclined individuals on the autism spectrum, orchestrated the third installment of the Jazz Hands Concert Series (JHCS) at Electric Lodge in Venice, CA. This installment united talents on and off the spectrum, closing off with a reception serving cobbler by CobblerMania and cold pressed juice by Nekter Juice Bar.
This event featured 7 performers: vocalists, instrumentalists, and DJ’s, all of whom are on the autism spectrum. Dj Moosewad’s sets had the whole theatre on their feet; Ksusha’s velvety rendition of old school favorites like “My Heart Will Go On” left the crowd teary eyed; Enriquez rocked out with to Led Zepplin on electric guitar; Miles Keys touched the hearts of the crowd with his original song “Be The Change”; Ruben’s smooth vocals and multi-instrumentalism wowed the crowd and finishing off the evening was Aaron Bruck’s original jazz composition accompanied by an impeccable jazz band.
There was also a surprise impromptu performance by Jazz Hands For Autism founder, Noddy, with a live cover of “Call Tyrone” by Erykah Badu.
The motto, “Exceptional Sounds By Exceptional People” was in full effect at the event which was free to the public.

Jazz Hands For Autism is a nonprofit committed to providing a platform where musically inclined individuals on the autism spectrum can express and explore their passions and talents. Since May 2014, Jazz Hands has put together a concert series featuring individuals with autism.
