Stakes and emotions run high on Oxygen Media’s newest competition series “The Battle of the Ex Besties” premieringTuesday, December 6 at 11pm ET/PT. Hosted by Sibley Scoles (“E! News”), the series follows fourteen former BFFs who are forced to confront – and hopefully forget – past differences in order to win a life-changing $100,000 grand prize. Will these frenemies give their relationship a fighting chance, or part ways once and for all?

“We are very excited about this project that delves into the true value of friendships.  Viewers are thrust into these relationships that are already at their lowest points, opening the door for a number of possibilities for their friendships,” said Rod Aissa, Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Development, Oxygen Media. “By adding a grand prize to the emotionally and physically-demanding experience, we are tapping into the drama that our audience loves.”

As fourteen contestants look to dominate the battle, nothing can prepare them for the moment they discover that they’ve each been paired with an ex-best friend. This tumultuous competition series puts them under the same roof and ultimately pushes them to revisit a shared history that will either help or hurt them in overcoming a series of daunting challenges. Should a team lose a challenge, they will have the option to compete for $50,000, or leave the competition for good. Two consecutive losses result in elimination. With betrayals, lies and past accusations looming, they alone will determine the price of friendship.

Meet the Host:

Born and raised in Northern California, Sibley Scoles found entertainment and music early on and made plans to take her passions to the next level.  She is currently a correspondent for E! News and previously served as an on-air host for iHeart Radio’s Real 92.3 FM.  In 2011, Scoles was hired by Sean “Diddy” Combs to be the first female host of his music television show, Revolt TV, and is also a successful musician in her own right – having toured with top performers such as Taio Cruz.  Additionally Scoles wrote and recorded the original song, “Donuts,” which was a radio hit and caught the attention of fashion designer, Stella McCartney, who licensed and used the song in her Paris Fashion Week soundtrack.

Meet the Ex Besties:

Ashonti Ford & Melanie Eke

They say you should never mix business with pleasure, but Melanie and Ashonti had to learn the hard way. After becoming best friends in college, Melanie worked tirelessly to make a name for herself on the ever-competitive golden coast and constantly passed job opportunities to her bestie Ashonti. This quickly backfired, however, after Melanie heard rumblings that Ashonti was vying for her job by pointing out her progress over Melanie’s. Things worsened when Ashonti began to score other job offers and began talking down to her best friend.

Christy Jeffrey & Katy Rowe

Los Angeles is a small town – too small for some – and former besties Christy and Katy are proof that not all relationships in LaLa Land have a Hollywood ending. When Christy met Katy, the two were so in sync, they had to live together. Fits of jealousy soon plagued the relationship, however, when a possessive Katy opposed Christy making plans with other friends or family members. Tensions eventually peaked when Christy threw a party that trashed the house she was sitting and Katy was quick to point the home owners in her direction.

Danni Victor & Judi Jackson

“Bad Girls Club” alums Dani and Judi met on the tumultuous series that found them in drunken brawls and made for a rocky friendship. Because the course of their relationship played out on-screen, the pressure on these two social media-savvy BFFs was much higher. Unable to restrain their twitter fingers, these frenemies drew a hard line when Judi coined herself the best Bad Girl of all time and Dani felt it necessary to correct her and reclaim the title for herself. What began as a Twitter war soon led to prank phone calls and a she said-she said battle for all their followers to see.

Deandra Gibbs & Tiaramy Maloy

Some argue that reputation is everything. And the adage rings true to former ride-or-die college roomies, Deandra and Tiaramy. When Deandra took her relationship with a mutual male friend of theirs to the next level, Tiaramy used her tech savvy social media skills to out her friend.

Erika Bryant & Jenny Nguyen

When Erika and Jenny met at a local nail salon, the two were drawn to each other’s similar personalities and became fast friends. The relationship took a turn for this party-loving duo, however, when Erika was financially cut off by her father. Though Jenny was quick to offer a place to stay in her family’s home, Erika remained persistent on her party lifestyle rather than focused on her move. On top of this, a shocked Erika woke up the morning after a huge party only to find that her best friend Jenny had taken her car and wallet, refusing to apologize.

Jasmine Williams & Lauren Way

Friends share secrets, experiences, and memories, but they don’t share boyfriends. At least this is what Lauren thought. When she met Jasmine on New York’s social scene, the two became very close and were even together the first time Lauren met her boyfriend during a night out on the town. After an anonymous tip that he was being unfaithful to her, always-reliable social media pointed Lauren in her best friend Jasmine’s direction.

Melissa Erickson & Trevor Hunt

Three is definitely a crowd when it comes to besties and significant others. Trevor fell out of BFF-love with Melissa when his attention began to shift to his boyfriend Eric. After Melissa landed the Stage Manager position for the musical that cast Trevor as a dancer, she got him fired after he skipped out on dress rehearsal to attend an event in Sin City. Their jilted relationship ended with Melissa moving out of their apartment overnight.

“The Battle of the Ex-Besties” is produced by Fly On The Wall with Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan serving as Executive Producers, along with Fishbowl Worldwide Media with Rick De Oliveira, Haylee Vance/Vin Di Bona and Beth Greenwald also serving as Executive Producers.
