About Charlamagne Tha God

Radio personality Charlamagne Tha God went from growing up in a single-wide trailer in Monck’s Corner, South Carolina to sitting atop a budding media empire in bustling New York City. In a little over a decade, New York’s “prime minister of pissing people off” has energized radio with an irreverent style of interviewing. Star host of the hit radio show, “The Breakfast Club,” Charlamagne is known for shocking his guests with bold remarks and stinging, withering criticisms. In his interview calculus, he’s figured out how to shoehorn in socially relevant issues from homophobia to Black Lives Matter, penning his opinions in the New York Times best-selling book “Black Privilege.” A to D-list celebrities line up for the opportunity to chop-it-up with the self-proclaimed king of New York media. In this episode, the tables are turned on the infamous radio host as we learn how Lenard McKlevey became Charlamagne Tha God.
