It’s been three years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles.

Jurassic World begins by taking us to this underworld of mystery way down at the bottom of the ocean as divers collect a sample of a giant dinosaur’s tooth for a sample.

This is just the beginning of what will be a fantastic journey in this newest installment of this popular movie franchise. From DNA samples to science lab experimental cloning and messing around with mother nature this movie gives one a lot to think about. From someone who is not into sci-fi, fiction or even dinosaurs Jurassic World:Fallen Kingdom was fascinating from the start.

The action begins from the get-go. We are glued to the screen as we come face to face with these gigantic creatures as we are swept along on a wild adventure. You don’t need to have seen the previous Jurassic Park movies to enjoy this latest blockbuster. The jungles, volcanoes, mountains, explosions, fires all make for a fantastic thrill ride but more importantly, we get another opportunity to see those amazing creatures we all know so well from the other Jurassic films. The chase and the excitement of coming face to face with one of these dinosaurs are exactly why we love these films so much! Thrilling, exciting and sometimes scary is the right formula for today’s adrenaline junkie moviegoer.

Okay, we all have never seen real dinosaurs but if we were too then I would say the special effects team got it right. T-rex raptors, Velociraptor, Parasaurolophus and so many more species of gigantic beasts an intense tantalizing sight to watch. Oh yeah and hold on to your popcorn it might just go flying when you least expect it.

The good guys, Owen played by Chris Pratt (looking fit and athletic) and Claire played by Bryce Dallas race to save and rescue the dinosaurs as the Island’s Volcano begins to erupt but in the middle of all this, there are scams, betrayal, backstabbing and of course keeping the bad folks from using the dinosaurs for financial gain. It was also very nice to see diversity in the cast, which always gives the film more richness so a broader audience can relate.

I enjoyed the filmmakers choice of music especially adding some soft ballads in some scenes that may have seemed odd but somehow worked great. Along with spectacular cinematography and fantastic CGI, the overall music score was well chosen. Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom was an amazing adventure and a spectacular thrill to watch! Exciting for the whole family don’t miss it!
On a scale of one to five stars, I give this film a five!

Stars Pratt and Howard return alongside executive producers Steven Spielberg and Colin Trevorrow for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
