RAVAGE STARRING ANNABELLE DEXTER-JONES, BRUCE DERN AND ROBERT LONGSTREET AT SELECT DRIVE-INS ON AUGUST 14TH AND VOD AUGUST 21ST

Annabelle Dexter-Jones is now my new badass revenge action hero. Think Rambo and Predator and you get “RAVAGE” an action-filled revenge horror drama film.

Writer/director Teddy Grennan spins a tale that has been done before a story of someone being in the wrong place witnessing something they should not have seen. But with solid acting and surprises along the way Ravage is a winner for me.

 Annabelle Dexter-Jones plays Harper Skyes a young nature photographer on assignment in the woods of the Watchatoomy Valley, captures a disturbing event of a man being brutally whipped and beaten in the woods by a group of men. Harper proceeds to take photos of the crime. Totally shocked and horrified by what she sees as any good citizen would do Harper rushes into the nearby town to report this terrible incident to the police. At the station, the sympathetic sheriff reassures Harper that he would look into it. But like all good revenge flicks the underdog has a battle ahead of her as we soon find out when Harper is quickly captured by the men.

Harper is hauled off to an abandoned farmhouse in the woods where she is tortured. Tension, terror, and determination are stamped on her face as she realizes the gravity of the situation..they intend to kill her. With some special skills under her belt, Harper escapes and the pursuit begins. This is where RAVAGE really ramps up the action and we begin to see Harper’s l skills that will give her on edge over her captures. 

Ravener(Robert Longstreet) the leader of the gang brought just the right amount of intimidation and immorality to his character so you would definitely want to see him get his when the time comes.

Legendary Bruce Dern Two-Time Oscar nominee is only in one scene and as always no matter what character he plays shows us why he continues to get accolades in his long career in Hollywood.

With a few twists and turns, you might not expect Ravagee delivers an edge of your seat, terrifying experience as you root for Harper to escape. I am a fan of action, suspense, horror, and drama. I got it all with this movie.

I want to note making a good film does not have to rely on a big Hollywood budget if you have a solid cast, a talented crew with overall good directing. Ravage could have turned out to be a corny overacted movie. Instead, we are treated to a film that delivers all the thrills danger and terror.

RAVAGE opened at select drive-ins on August 14th and August 21st via video on demand everywhere you can rent or buy movies. 

Press  Notes: Writer/director Teddy Grennan, previously worked as a producer and executive producer on a variety of independent feature films. Prior to writing the script for SAVAGE, Teddy Grennan spent five years in the animation world writing for Nickelodeon and various other studios including Prana.  He wrote and produced web pilots, sold The Second Act to Fox Searchlight with Ad Homimen to produce and with Teddy as Executive Producer. Most recently, Teddy produced indie features Ass Backwards, Among Ravens, Coming Through the Rye, and founded the Sun Valley Film Festival, which is in its tenth year and still serves as the Executive Director.
