The 89th Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade Supporting Marine Toys for Tots 

Get ready to party!  The Hollywood Christmas Parade is back!!!  The 89th Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade Supporting Marine Toys for Tots will pull out all the stops for this year’s live parade as it makes its 3.2-mile trek through the streets of Hollywood, CA on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at 6:00 p.m.  Don’t miss it!
 
Led by Grand Marshal Sheryl Underwood, Host on the Daytime Emmy Award-winning CBS hit television show, THE TALK, the live parade is presented by Associated Television International in association with The City of Los Angeles, hosted by Erik Estrada, Laura McKenzie, Dean Cain, and Montel Williams, with Special Co-Host Elizabeth Stanton, Host of Season Two of The CW’s hit television show, World’s Funniest Animals.


This year’s parade will feature 55 Hollywood celebrities and VIPS, 11 award-winning bands from around the country, 4 dazzling equestrians, 11 larger-than-life four-story character balloons, 3 colorful floats including the Idaho Potato Truck Tour featuring an 18-Wheeler carting a two-story, two-ton potato down Hollywood Boulevard, and 156 novelties, including 66 movie cars.  The parade culminates with the appearance of the Jolly Old Elf himself, Santa Claus, and his reindeer, ushering in the holiday season! 

FREE Curbside Seating will be available along the parade route, starting at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue, continuing along the rest of the parade route on Vine Street and Sunset Boulevard.

STREET AND HIGHWAY CLOSURES:

The City of Los Angeles, Departments of Transportation (LADOT) and Police (LAPD) will be strictly enforcing the no-parking policy for the Hollywood Christmas Parade, which includes the citing and the impounding of parked vehicles on restricted streets. Impounded vehicles will be towed to the Official Police Garage (OPG) at Hollywood Tow located at 1015 N. Mansfield Avenue.  Motorists are advised to check the OPG website at www.opglaviic.com to find their vehicle.  To retrieve impounded vehicles call either 311 or Hollywood Tow at (323) 466-8583.  The following locations and restrictions will be enforced to support the Hollywood Christmas Parade activities:

Beginning Thursday, November 25th, “No Parking” signs will be posted along these routes; enforcement will begin Saturday, November 27th and continue through Monday morning, November 29th.

2021 HOLLYWOOD CHRISTMAS PARADE STREET AND FREEWAY CLOSURES:

SATURDAY – NOVEMBER 27th, 2021:

12:01 AM – Hollywood Blvd. between Orange and Highland (closed all weekend; re-open Monday 6 AM)

12:01 AM – Orange from Hollywood Blvd. south to the alley north of Hawthorne (re-open Monday 6 AM)

12.01 AM—Sycamore from Franklin to Hollywood Blvd. will be closed at 11 PM Friday 26th, Sat 27th & all day Sunday 28th reopening at 10 PM

SUNDAY – NOVEMBER 28th, 2021:

6:00 AM – Hollywood Blvd. between La Brea and Orange (re-open 10 PM)

1:00 PM – Hawthorne, DeLongpre, and Fountain Ave. ALL from La Brea to Highland Ave. (re-open 9 PM)

1:00 PM – El Cerrito Place from Franklin to Hollywood Blvd. (re-open 8 PM)

1:00 PM – Sycamore and Orange, BOTH from Franklin to Santa Monica (re-open 9 PM)

1:00 PM – Sunset Blvd. between La Brea and Highland (re-open approximately. 10 PM)

1:00 PM – La Brea Avenue between Franklin Avenue and to Fountain Avenue on both sides parking restrictions until 12 Midnight

2:00 PM – Fountain Ave between La Brea and Highland (re-open 10 PM)

3:00 PM – HOLLYWOOD FWY/HWY 101, BOTH northbound and southbound off-ramps for Cahuenga Blvd (re-open 10 PM) (FREEWAY CLOSURE)

4:00 PM – Northbound La Brea between Hollywood and Sunset (re-open approximately 9 PM)

4:00 PM – Highland Ave. from Franklin to Santa Monica (re-open approximately 10 PM)

4:00 PM – Hollywood Blvd. from Highland to Gower (re-open 9 PM)

4:00 PM – Vine Street from Franklin Ave. to Santa Monica (re-open 9 PM)

4:00 PM – Sunset Blvd. from Highland to Gower (re-open approximately 10 PM)

In addition, beginning Saturday, Nov. 27th throughout Sunday, Nov 28th there will be no parking allowed on Sycamore, between Franklin and Hollywood Blvd.

PARKING AND METRO:
Parking is always a premium in Hollywood.  Parking is available at the Hollywood & Highland Shopping Complex.  Most lots are paid parking – please contact the individual lot for pricing.  Parade-watchers are urged to use public transit.  For more information please use Trip Planner at www.metro.net or call (323) GO-METRO (323-466-3876).
 
GO METRO
One of the easiest ways to get to the parade is via Metro B Line (Red) to Hollywood/Vine or Hollywood/Highland.  Both stations get you directly onto the parade route.

From Downtown, be sure to take the B Line (Red) towards NoHo (North Hollywood), NOT the D Line (Purple) to Wilshire/Western.

Free station parking is available at North Hollywood, Universal City / Studio City, Pasadena, Arcadia, Monrovia, Duarte, Irwindale, Azusa, East LA, West LA, Westwood, Santa Monica, Culver City, Norwalk, Lakewood, Redondo Beach, and Long Beach.  Some stations require a parking fee.  For additional information about available parking at Metro Stations, please visit https://www.metro.net/riding/parking/

One-Way Fare is $1.75.  Riders are encouraged to pre-load TAP cards with round-trip fare ($3.50) in stored value or purchase.  A One-Day Pass for $7.00.  As a reminder, on TAP Card per rider ($2.00) is required.  Fare payment with TAP cards includes two hours free transfers to METRO rail and bus in one direction (no roundtrips).  Remember to tap your own card before each boarding.
