HEIRS OF AFRIKA 5TH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL WOMEN OF POWER AWARDS LUNCHEON
Ghanaian-American Media Executive Koshie Mills, Founder and Executive Producer of Heirs Of Afrika 5th Annual International Women of Power Awards return with her star-studded event celebrating and honoring Global Black Women who are Change Agents Thought Leaders and Dynamic Representations in Entertainment, Fashion, Beauty, Business, and Social Justice. Emmy-Award-winning talk show Host Loni Love returns as the 2022 Host for the exclusive elegant event. Special performance by Victory Boyd, the awe-inspiring Central Park singer who impressed Jay-Z and is now signed to Roc Nation.
The awards ceremony is a joyful celebration of sisterhood and the excellence of Black Women. Guests were treated to a three-course luncheon, live performances, and awards presentations with an African inflection. This year’s confirmed honorees include Congresswoman Karen Bass, Thuso Mbede (The Woman King; Underground Railroad), Naturi Naughton (ABC Queens and Power on Starz), Chloe & Halle Bailey (Beyonce’s Parkwood Award-Winning R&B Duo), Nyakim Gatwech (American Model), Tabitha Brown (Actress, Social Media Personality and Vegan Entrepreneur), Latasha Gillespie (Executive Head of Diversity Equity and Inclusion Amazon Studios), Crown Act Coalition Women, Orlena Nwoku Blanchard, Adjoa Asamoah, Esi Eggleston Bracey, and Kelli Richardson Lawson.
In previous years, the event has Honored Actress, Comedian, and Author Tiffany Haddish, Afro Latina Musical Artist Amara La Negra, Actress, and Humanitarian Rosario Dawson, Actress Ryan Destiny, Actress Yvette Nicole Brown and Dignitaries such as The First Lady Of Sierra Leone, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, and many others.
