LA Native and Cultural Maven, Candis Grace Celebrates 10 Years of Honoring Black Excellence at ‘Toast To Black Hollywood’ Event

Candis Grace, affectionately known to the entertainment world as Miss Diddy, CEO of The Brand Group Inc., will commemorate a decade of uplifting black visionaries in entertainment at her highly-anticipated 10th annual “Toast To Black Hollywood” event on Thursday, June 27th, during the famous BET Awards week in Los Angeles.
The Compton, CA, native is crowned as one of the biggest Entertainment Marketers ever, and has worked with the biggest and best talent over her career span, including: Kevin Hart, Nipsey Hussle, Netflix, The United Nations, and more. She’s known for Doing it Her Own Way.
The star-studded celebration will honor a generation full of multi-talented artists and influencers, including award-winning actress, producer, director, and philanthropist Meagan Good, actor and Grammy-nominated artist Tristan Mack Wilds, actor and comedian Affion Crockett, choreographer, global creative director, and TV personality Laurieann Gibson, MTV’s hit show Catfish Television host andproducerr Kamie Crawford, Stylist/Creative Director to the Hollywood Stars Bryon Javar, Host of NBC’s Access Hollywood Scott Evans, Actor/Producer Kareem Grimes, Managing Director at UBS Melissa Van Putten-Henderson, and Actor/Writer/Producer/Director Malcolm Mays.
“I created this platform to be able to celebrate peer-to-peer how amazing we’re all doing on our journeys—the ups and downs, the uncertainties,” says Candis Grace, founder of Toast to Black Hollywood. “But with each other’s applause, I believe we can continue to shift the culture.”
“Toast To Black Hollywood,” formally known as “Toast to Young Hollywood,” transformed its name in 2020 in honor of the civil unrest in the world and wanted to show how brilliant and resilient that Black Hollywood is. This event celebrates creative revolutionaries shifting culture through artistry and activism. Over the past decade, the event has honored trailblazers like SuperStar and Philanthropist Lauren London, Television television icon, and Music Mogul Mona Scott-Young, Televison Icon Nick Cannon, Former Mayor of Compton Aja Brown, Television Icon Kevin Frazier, Business Mogul/Host of SharkTank Daymond John, NBA All-Star Superstar Baron Davis, Actor Keith Powers , Radio Personality Legend Big Boy in the Morning, and so many more.
The landmark evening will feature a red carpet arrival, special performances, tributes, and experiences celebrating Black culture.
