Blue Birdy Offers Up Some Super Tasty Gastropub Fare On The Iconic Sunset Strip.

Blue Birdy is the newest spot to launch in West Hollywood, and it’s quickly becoming a favorite. With its French-influenced menu and a cool vibe, it adds a fresh touch to the local dining scene. Blue Birdy opened its doors to amazing success in early 2024, thanks in large part to its chef and owner, JC Mahdavi. JC, a seasoned restaurateur, is well-known for his previous establishment, Joxer Daly’s in Culver City. Joxer Daly’s, an Irish Pub/Sports Bar with a neighborhood feel, has been a staple in Los Angeles’ culinary scene for many years, known for its great food and solid cocktail recipes.

During our visit, we had the opportunity to sample the eclectic Happy Hour, and it was a delightful experience. The owner, JC Mahdavi, greeted us warmly and gave us a thorough rundown of the Happy Hour menu. After much deliberation, we chose the Pineapple Express cocktail, which was deliciously delightful.

The menu at Blue Birdy reflects JC’s deep connection to his French heritage, incorporating his family’s mouthwatering recipes. JC says, “I want my customers to feel comfortable at Blue Birdy, a place they can come to and leave the stress of their day behind, enjoy great libations, and wonderfully inspired gastropub cuisine.”

The Happy Hour menu offers an array of items designed to tantalize the tastebuds, including asparagus fries, fish tacos, chips and salsa, barbecue cauliflower, garlic fries with aioli dip, seasoned edamame, and noodle salad. Each dish transported us to a vision of an island paradise, making it a heavenly smorgasbord of treats.

In addition to the great food and friendly service, Blue Birdy provides a unique blend of artsy, casual, sporty, and upscale dining experiences. The patio space inside is perfect for intimate private events, making it a versatile and inviting spot in West Hollywood.

Creating the right vibe is just as important as the food, and JC has incorporated music and artist images into the decor.
