In an Unprecedented and Unanimous Decision, the Entire Cast has Decided to Cancel the Little House 50th Anniversary
On Friday, September 6, 2024, following poorly organized and executed events in Connecticut and Pennsylvania, the cast of Little House on the Prairie declared on social media and in a letter sent to promoter Jack Bishop that we would not attend or support future Little House on the Prairie events produced by him and his company, Gravel Road Markets. Our letter to Mr. Bishop stated the following:
“This letter informs you that, effective immediately, the undersigned members of the original cast of Little House on the Prairie will no longer support, promote, or appear at any Gravel Road Markets, LLC events.
Please remove our names and likenesses from sales and marketing assets supporting any upcoming Little House on the Prairie 50th Anniversary events produced or promoted by Gravel Road Markets, LLC, including upcoming events in Lyles, TN; Keystone, SD; Branson, MO; and Corsicana TX.”
With our intent on the record Friendly Family Productions then terminated Mr. Bishop’s Little House on the Prairie event license. Declarations of termination by the cast and rightsholder should have triggered public cancellations of all his Little House events. They didn’t.

Yesterday, we were saddened to learn that on September 27-29, 2024, many fans traveled to Keystone, SD, to attend what Jack Bishop should have announced weeks ago as a canceled Little House on the Prairie 50th Anniversary Event. A similar mischaracterization over the weekend of September 13-15, 2024, impacted fans in Lyles, TN. Now, Jack Bishop is seemingly refusing to announce the cancellation of his Little House events in Branson, MO (November 15-17) and Corsicana, TX (December 6-8).
Mr. Bishop appears to be taking advantage of Little House fans by failing to inform them and his ticket vendor, Eventbrite, that the Little House cast has permanently ended our relationship with him. Instead of “Canceled,” his Little House event listings have been labeled as “Sold Out” on the Eventbrite website. This misrepresentation of event status has likely confused ticket buyers and complicated the process of requesting refunds. We encourage Little House event ticketholders to seek clarification from Eventbrite on the status of their purchased events and continue requesting refunds from both Eventbrite and their credit card companies.
After fifty years and counting, the Little House on the Prairie family of cast and crew treasures and respects the worldwide fan community that has made our series an enduring classic. In 2025 we are dedicated to bringing you “Little House Love,” bigger and better than ever.
With appreciation and respect,
