Transplantation, family, and the complicated world of Black Americans in their history with the medical establishment are all explored. This story is funny, poignant, and sometimes harrowing. It tells of family, love, and second chances. Beverly Morris is a woman who seems to have it all. She has a loving husband, two teenagers, and a spunky grandmother. A flourishing bakery business is under her roof. She is constantly on the go. Then, a family history of kidney disease catches up to her. Linked by Love explores one Black family’s experience with end-stage renal disease. It follows the family as they confront Beverly’s illness.
