About Je’Caryous Johnson
Je’Caryous Johnson has transformed the world of urban theatre and propelled himself into mainstream notoriety and success. It all started for him with his innovative thinking to turn African-American romance novels into stage plays. The four-time national championship playwright has achieved significant accolades. He is a recipient of the NAACP 2007 Trailblazer Award. He is also the youngest producer/playwright to garner national media attention. Some of Johnson’s hit plays include Love Overboard featuring R&B hit makers Avant & Keke Wyatt. Another hit is Men Cry in the Dark starring Allen Payne. Other noteworthy plays include The Maintenance Man with Billy Dee Williams. Friends and Lovers and Cheaters features Grammy Award winning singer Brian McKnight.
