
Newport Beach TV Fest Closing Day
The inaugural Newport Beach TV Fest ended with exciting panels, conversations and awards presentations. Michael Urie presented Jason Segel with Variety’s Creative Impact in TV Award. This was for his role in “Shrinking.” “Abbott Elementary” was honored with the Outstanding Comedy Ensemble Award. Cast members held a conversation before receiving the award.

They included Quinta Brunson, Shery Lee Ralph, Janelle James, Chris Perfetti, Lisa Ann Walter, and William Stanford Davis. Dan Fogelman accepted the Showrunner of the Year Award on behalf of “Paradise.” Julianne Nicholson presented the award. This was followed by a live podcast recording of the Los Angeles Times’ Envelope Podcast. Lastly, Sam Rockwell received the TV Supporting Performance of the Year Award. This was for his role in “The White Lotus.” The award followed a live recording of The Hollywood Reporter’s “Awards Chatter” podcast.
The Newport Beach TV Fest, presented by the Newport Beach Film Festival, is a premier.
The four-day celebration of television artistry was set for June 5-8, 2025, at the historic Lido Theater in Newport Beach. It showcased a dynamic lineup of events. The focus is on honoring both established and emerging talent in television. The event hosts the largest gathering of Guild and Television Academy voters outside Los Angeles and New York. It offers a unique platform for innovative storytelling. This gathering cements Newport Beach as a hub for creative excellence in the evolving landscape of television.
