The Journey Of A Legendary Landscape Painting North American Tour

The acclaimed Chinese dance drama The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting, also known as The Poetic Dance, is ready to start its highly anticipated North American tour. This dance drama has captivated audiences with its eloquent storytelling and artistic expression. This summer marks the start of the tour. It will have performances in Vancouver, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Houston from July 17 to August 10, 2025.

The China Oriental Performing Arts Group presents the production. It is inspired by A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains. This is the 12th-century masterpiece by prodigy Wang Ximeng. The show reimagines this national treasure through stunning choreography. It features music and visual storytelling rooted in the elegance of the Song Dynasty.

Organizers held a press conference on July 10 to mark the start of the tour. The event took place at the 777 Tower in downtown Los Angeles. The event was hosted by CultraNation Live Media and co-organized by Xavvi. It featured Joey Zhou of The Los Angeles Beverly Arts. Over 200 guests attended. These included NBA legend Norm Nixon, Emmy-winning singer Grace Field, and community leaders.

Highlights included an interactive “Green Waist” dance experience. There was also a live East-West musical performance of the show’s theme song. Both performances earned standing ovations. The show has sold out over 700 performances since premiering in Beijing. It continues to resonate with global audiences seeking cultural beauty and connection.
