OPEN CASTING CALL ON FEBRUARY 18 IN LOS ANGELES
FOX Entertainment and Fremantle are making waves with an open casting call for the new FOX action series Baywatch, officially bringing the world’s most iconic lifeguards back to television. The reboot promises new faces, fresh adventures, and daring rescues set against the sun-drenched Southern California coastline, offering aspiring actors a rare opportunity to audition directly for the show’s casting team.
The Baywatch Open Casting Call is seeking dynamic talent across a wide range of roles, from lifeguards and beachgoers to bartenders, buddies, and love interests, as well as rescuers and rescuees of all kinds. Additional characters are also expected to be added as the series continues to take shape. Aspiring performers ages 18 and over of all genders and ethnicities are invited to audition for series regulars, recurring characters, and walk-on roles. Those planning to attend are encouraged to arrive “Baywatch-ready,” wearing a wardrobe that evokes a beach setting while remaining polished, professional, and avoiding overly revealing styles and costumes.

The in-person casting call will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the Marina Del Rey Marriott at 4100 Admiralty Way, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292. Interested actors should visit www.baywatchcastingcall.com for full details and must register by Tuesday, February 17.
“The Baywatch Open Casting Call gives actors a rare opportunity to join the team of an iconic global sensation that celebrates the California spirit and helped define LA’s incomparable beach culture,” said Michael Thorn, President of FOX Television Network. “We’re excited to discover fresh faces with authentic SoCal energy as we bring back Baywatch for a new generation of fans.”
Production on the series is scheduled to begin this March, filming on L.A.’s famed Venice Beach and at the historic FOX Studio Lot in Century City. The reboot is set to premiere during FOX’s 2026–27 season and is produced by Fremantle and FOX Entertainment. Executive producers include Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Dante Di Loreto, Doug Schwartz, Mike Horowitz, and Matt Nix, who also serves as showrunner.
First premiering in 1989, Baywatch grew into a global phenomenon, becoming one of the most-watched shows in the world, airing in more than 200 countries and, at its peak, reaching over a billion viewers weekly. The original series starred David Hasselhoff and helped launch the careers of stars such as Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra, Jason Momoa, and Yasmine Bleeth. The upcoming reboot aims to honor that enduring legacy while updating the franchise for today’s audience—delivering the adrenaline-fueled rescues, beachside heroics, and complicated relationships that defined the original, now reimagined with contemporary tensions, new challenges, and an all-new cast ready to protect Southern California’s shoreline.
