Some of the best of black Hollywood came out for the annual NAACP Theatre Awards 2013. Held at the Saban Theatre on Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills it was a Star Studded Red Carpet. The NAACP Theatre Awards is an award presented annually by the Beverly Hills-Hollywood branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People to honor outstanding people of color in theatre.
Similar to other awards, the Theatre Awards are voted on by members of the NAACP. There are also honorary awards, including the President’s Award, the Trailblazer Award, the Spirit Award, the Community Service Award and The Lifetime Achievement Award.
