The Television Academy proudly celebrated the 77th Emmy Awards. It recognized excellence in television programming. The awards also honored individual achievement for the 2024–2025 season. Audiences enjoyed a special Golden Girls tribute. Reba McEntire, Karen Fairchild, and Kimberly Schlapman delivered a heartfelt rendition. They performed the show’s iconic theme song “Thank You for Being a Friend.”

In addition to the live broadcast, the Television Academy hosted two Emmy ceremonies on September 6 and 7, with highlights available for streaming on Paramount+ through September 21 and an edited version airing on FXX until October 7. Beyond the televised categories, 97 additional Emmys were presented at the Creative Arts Awards, compiled and confirmed by the independent accounting firm Ernst & Young LLP.

Through the Emmy Awards, the Television Academy continues to honor and celebrate those who shape and elevate the art of television, recognizing trailblazers while reflecting on the cultural legacy of the industry.
