Tyrone DuBose is America’s premier R&B Historian and an inductee into the California Music Hall of Fame. He will debut his award-winning segment, A Moment in Music History, on iHeartRadio’s AM 1070 WDIA in Memphis, Tennessee. This will start on Monday, October 3rd.

Since its founding in 1947, WDIA has held a landmark place in American broadcasting as the first U.S. radio station programmed entirely for the Black community. Its pioneering role amplified the voices and music that influenced generations, cementing its status as a cultural institution.
Bethea is a two-time Stellar Award winner for “Radio Announcer of the Year”. She also made history as the first African-American woman to be named Program Director of the legendary station.
DuBose’s career gained national recognition through his contributions to many autobiographies and commentary, including TV One’s acclaimed documentary series Unsung. Besides his induction into the Hall of Fame, he has earned numerous honors. He has received 3 Black Music Awards. Additionally, he earned 3 Hollywood African Prestigious Awards. He was also awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from UView Media in 2018. The video version of the Moment in Music History on Social Media has received over 1 million views.
