Will Smith Serves Fans At Raising Cane’s After Dodgers’ World Series Win — And Gets $100k For His Catching Hope Foundation

Where there’s a Will (Smith), there’s a way! The Dodgers’ victory over the Blue Jays in Game 7 was dramatic with a 5–4 score. Just days after, catcher Will Smith wanted to celebrate. He brought his championship spirit to Raising Cane’s on Sunset Boulevard. There, he gave a surprise “shift” behind the counter. Fans gathered by the hundreds, chanting “Let’s Go Dodgers!” as Smith served up Cane’s ONE LOVE® Chicken Finger Meals, signed autographs, and took photos with fans.
During the celebration, Raising Cane’s Owner and Founder Todd Graves and his daughter Sophia Graves joined Smith on stage. They presented a $100,000 donation to his Catching Hope Foundation. This foundation empowers under-resourced youth through literacy, leadership, and fitness programs.
“I grew up loving Cane’s—the chicken, the sauce, the toast—it’s all great,” said Smith. “It’s fun celebrating with all these people and seeing what the Dodgers mean to them. It only adds motivation for the off-season and going into next year.”
Smith joins a lineup of Dodgers greats. These players have worked celebratory “shifts” with Cane’s. They include Clayton Kershaw, Mookie Betts, and Kiké Hernández. Each appearance brings players closer to their fans while raising awareness for community causes.
“Having Will here today was incredible,” said Graves. “His home run in Game 7 was one for the ages. It’s inspiring to see him give back through Catching Hope. Supporting local communities and celebrating hard work are what Cane’s is all about.”
The event also marks Cane’s growing presence in Los Angeles. This follows recent expansions to Hollywood, Victorville, Canoga Park, and Universal CityWalk.
