Hip Hop Artist Kalin Milan At the Jim Kelly Tribute
Celebrities and Community Leaders came out to honor Grandmaster Jim Kelly, hosted by Grand Master Eric’Lionman” O’Neal at the Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Center. Emerging Young Hip Artist Kalin Milan was also present at the tribute. Only twenty, Kilan is a big fan of Jim Kelly. At the age of 5 while going through physical therapy due to a terrible car accident Kalin told his Mom “I’m going to be big and strong like him one day,” after watching Jim in “Enter The Dragon”. So maybe Jim Kelly had an impact on this amazing young man, who survived his accident was able to walk and became very involved in sports. Today Kalin is writing songs,recording in the studio and is about to release his single, “Dollar Bill.”
Along with Jim’s daughter Sabrina Kelly Lewis, Gloria Hendry, who starred opposite Jim in “Black Belt Jones”, Fred Williamson, Freda Payne, Victor Asai and legendary Barbara Morrison it was a moving tribute to an incredible human being.
