Brent and Linell Shapiro Raised $500,000 For The Brent Shapiro Foundation 2013
$500,000 RAISED AT THE BRENT SHAPIRO FOUNDATION’S 8th ANNUAL“SUMMER SPECTACULAR” GALA
Famed attorney Robert Shapiro, wife Linell and son Grant pay tribute to deceased eldest son Brent who succumbed to alcohol and drug use by honoring sober individuals and educating about addiction.
Hollywood’s A-List gathered, for the 8th Annual Summer Spectacular 2013 to benefit the Brent Shapiro Foundation for Alcohol and Drug Awareness, an all-volunteer organization that fights the disease of addiction via educational initiatives and academic scholarship incentives. The evening included a ‘mocktail’ reception followed by a three-course dinner catered byWolfgang Puck and a dramatic runway fashion show featuring show-stopping gowns by G Haute Couture.
Held at Mei Sze Chan and Jeff Greene’s 40,000 sq. ft. palatial estate, in the Beverly Hills canyons, donated especially for the evening, the “Summer Spectacular” honored actors Ted Danson for Angel’s At Risk and Harry Hamlin, as well as two college-bound sober students, from the Phoenix House, who received fully-paid scholarships to continue their education.
