The XX Edition of The Annual Recent Spanish Cinema Series presents its trailer by renowned spanish filmmaker Daniel Sanchez Arevalo.

To celebrate and promote the 20th Recent Spanish Cinema film series in Los Angeles, we were privileged to have Spanish filmmaker Daniel Sanchez Arevalo create the trailer for the 20th edition of the popular Los Angeles film series. His trailer “Traumatizing Clichés” premieres online and in cinemas this week. Starring in the spot Spanish talent like Raul Arevalo , Rodrigo Poisón, Font Garcia, Juan Vinuesa, Alicia Rubio, Alex Cano and Amalia Hornero.

The Spanish Institute for Film and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA) a part of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, together with the American Cinematheque and EGEDA, announce the 20th edition of the Recent Spanish Cinema series, a showcase of the most outstanding recent Spanish films at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles , October 16-19, 2014.

 

The producers of The Recent Spanish cinema series hope to continue this initiative each year, to bring the creativity of Spanish talent to Los Angeles  each year in these series trailers.

This year’s series will premiere Daniel Sanchez  Arevalo’s  latest feature “Family United.”

The spot will also function as promotion for the IV edition of Recent cinema from Spain in Miami. This event is produced by EGEDA and The Olympia Theater with the collaboration of the ICAA, and will take place in Miami Nov 20-23, 2014

Daniel Sanchez Arevalo: Spanish screenwriter, film director and producer who comes from a family of artists. After 12 years of television experience and many short films (that have garnered) more than 200 awards, he directed   and wrote his first feature “Dark Blue Almost Black” in 2006. His much-lauded feature debut received over 50 awards at festivals around the world, including three Goya awards for best new director, best actor and best newcomer.  His later films “Fat People”, and “Cousinhood,” were both selections of previous Recent Spanish Cinema series at The Egyptian Theatre.
