Author and filmmaker Richard “RJ” Bond reissues “Tupac 187: The Red Knight” on September 13, the 19th anniversary of Tupac Shakur death.

Tupac 187: The Red Knight is the powerful and compelling true story of corruption, coercion and murder surrounding the Tupac Shakur & Christopher “Biggie Smalls” Wallace homicides brought to 2014. With contribution by retired Los Angeles Police Detective Russell Poole, the original Wallace homicide investigator and co- written by Richard “RJ” Bond, director of the “Tupac Assassination” movie franchise, “Tupac 187: The Red Knight” takes you inside the 18 year odyssey of the derailed murder investigations.

Bond felt it would be appropriate to reissue the book, when his friend and book contributor former LAPD Detective Russell Poole, suddenly died 3 weeks ago.  Detective Poole handled the murder case of rapper Biggie Smalls, died of a suspected heart attack while meeting with Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies at the Homicide Bureau about a cold case when he collapsed, rushed to a local hospital, where he died

“The story of Tupac’s and Christopher Wallace’s murders is one of the most suppressed crime stories in American history” said Bond. “Historians may lie but history cannot. Starting with Russell’s (Poole’s) groundbreaking initial work, through Frank Alexander’s heart and into the amazing words of ‘187’, over 15,000 pages of documented evidence were read. Over 30 witness and associated interviews (video and audio) were reviewed and transcribed.

“We lost many, many sleepless nights in the preparation of this book; it will disturb and probably anger you in-between. Within these pages, official lies are witheringly demolished and the stark truth, however uncomfortable, begins to take shape. This is not a conspiracy theory, it is a conspiracy. The highest levels of the media are involved and shown to be in league with the worst culprits in the law enforcement who buried and obstructed their own investigations.”

“Russell died in the pursuit of truth. This is the least I can do to honor his and Frank’s memories.”

Tupac: 187: The Red Knight is available at Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

About Tupac 187: The Red Knight

Tupac 187: The Red Knight” goes back to the beginning of the investigations-the original police files-and re-examines the people and evidence who have been previously corrupted or ignored. We decided to strip the Death Row Records disinformation machine of its fallacies, and re-paint the witness disparagement campaigns by the Los Angeles Times with the color of truth. When all is laid out raw and exposed under the book’s harsh light, “187” clearly evidences the power of the media-both of 1996 and of today- to not only report news-but to make it.
