‘Kiki’ Opens In Los Angeles Friday February 24th

Following rapturous festival debuts, including a World Premiere at Sundance, KIKI will open in U.S theaters and on VOD starting February 24, 2017 in Los Angeles and in New York on March 1, 2017. 

Sundance Selects will release the documentary  KIKI, a dynamic coming of age story about resilience and the transformative art form that is voguing. KIKI offers riveting and complex insight into the daily lives of a group of LGBTQ youth-of-color who comprise the “Kiki” scene, a vibrant, safe space for performance created and governed by these activists.  

 KIKI is a nominee for the 2017 Film Independent Spirit Awards – 22nd Truer Than Fiction Award. It was an Official Selection at the 2016 Berlinale Panorama film festival.  

Laemmle’s Monica Film Center – Q&As held after the 7:10pm shows on Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25 moderated by Trace Lysette (Transparent) on Friday and Wilson Cruz (Red Band Society) on Saturday.
