Ashton Tyler BET Young Star Award Nominee For “Black Panther” Talks About His Latest Film
No matter what happens on Sunday, June 24th at the 2018 BET Awards young Ashton Tyler is already a winner. We had the pleasure of chatting with this charming young man about his BET Young Star Award nomination for his role as a young T’Challa in Black Panther.
And he will appear in the summer comedy Uncle Drew produced by and starring Kyrie Irving along with Tiffany Haddish, Shaquille O’Neal, LilRel Howery, opening in theaters June 29th. Born and raised in the Birmingham Metropolitan area, he began training, modeling and acting regionally at 7 years old. Soon he was cast in his first national television role in the TV One series “Fatal Attraction “. He would then go on to appear in the feature film “Hidden Figures”(2017) as the youngest son of Octavia Spencer’s character Dorothy Vaughn.
