ESSENCE of the Matter: COVID-19’s Impact on Black America virtual platform presents its first “Digital Dose: Everything Black-Owned Businesses Should Know about Leveraging the CARES Act to Financially Survive COVID-19” – 90-minute information and Q&A session focused on providing urgent information on the Paycheck Protection Program (“PPP”) under the newly-passed stimulus package, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The PPP authorizes up to $350 billion in forgivable loans to small businesses and other organizations to pay their employees during the COVID-19 crisis, as well as other allowed operational expenses.
