National Geographic’s fan-favorite, Emmy-winning series Life Below Zero will give you the chills as it captures the extreme lifestyles of tough residents living in remote isolation in Alaska. Viewers have been captivated as these individuals battle whiteout snowstorms, unpredictable frozen terrain and man-eating carnivores in one of the most isolated regions in the world. With temperatures as low as below 40, crew members face their own unique challenges filming in the wilderness as they brave some of the world’s most dangerous conditions. The series has won three Emmy awards for cinematography, most recently in 2019, one Emmy for Picture Editing, and has been nominated for nine Emmys overall, including Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program last year.
