Disney’s media and entertainment distribution chairman Kareem Daniel announced on March 23, 2021, that Black Widow would be released on July 9, 2021, and follow a hybrid release model, available to watch on Disney+ and in cinemas, alongside 101 Dalmatians prequel Cruella.
In Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff must deal with her past to bring down an enemy determined to destroy her. Directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige, the movie stars Scarlett Johansson reprising her role as Natasha Romanoff. Florence Pugh stars as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov aka Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff.
