Meet the cast and creators of Disney’s new Series “American Born Chinese”.Based on the genre-hopping graphic novel by Gene Luen Yang, “American Born Chinese” tells the story of Jin Wang, an average teenager juggling his high school social life with his home life. When he meets a new student on the first day of the school year, even more worlds collide as Jin is unwittingly entangled in a battle of Chinese mythological gods.
It’s hard enough being a teenager but Jin(played by Ben Wang) has a lot more to worry about than the trials of tribulations of high school. Even his high school crush Amelia (Sydney Taylor) may not be what she seems and holds some mystery that viewers will discover through her journey.
Disney+‘s adaptation of American Born Chinese brings a lot of action, (especially if you’re a fan of Kung Fu) comedy, and drama to this coming-of-age series. Some of the cast shares their experience and what viewers might expect from the show.
