49TH DAYTIME ARTS & CREATIVE LIFESTYLE EMMY NOMINEES RED CARPET ARRIVALS
The 49th Annual Day Creative Arts & Lifestyle Emmy Awards took place on Saturday, June 18th at the Pasadena Convention Center.
The Daytime Emmys honor the best in television programming that airs during the day, but that distinction is not as simple as it used to be. With the onset of so many streaming services, and with streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime folks can watch any time of the day so changes were needed to accommodate all the various platforms.
So things were trimmed down and shows were designated into categories allowing them to garner their own awards. However, The Daytime Emmys continue to honor the daily multi-camera soaps like “Y&R,” “General Hospital,” and “Days of Our Lives,” plus daytime game shows, talk shows, and lifestyle/culinary programs will continue to be honored by The Emmys.
